Revving in Neutral
Yesterday was yesterday. Today is yesterday, again.
And tomorrow wil also be yesterday, yet again.
The past holds you like a steel-link chain.
While your mind is mutilated by the cane of pain.
There's someone standing by the hazy window pane,
Smiling victoriously in defeat, saying, "No pain.No gain."
Oh wait. Who is that person in this scene so quaint ?
Just try and jog down that squalid memory lane.
Its like an art movie, isn't it ? All bleakness, and black rain.
It is here that you wonder aloud and say, 'Am I really sane ?
Isn't sanity something I habitually feign ?
What is it that makes me so vain ?
What makes me live an illusion, again and again ?
I need to escape this intense reverie insane.
Because.............
I'd rather take the lonely wretched alleyway into the sun.
The highway is way too crowded, and I'm carrying a gun.'
